Whats the best way to upgrade my truck to get more mpg. Right now my truck is completely stock except for a 5 inch exhaust. I still have a stock dp. Thanks in advance.

how much mula you got? i would do an intake, definantly get a 3inch down pipe....that will help it breath, i have heard chips are good for 1 or 2mpg....cant say for sure though, but ask me in two weeks and ill tell ya! make sure your tires are air'd up all the way, and if you really have some cash buy a gear vendors overdrive! but few are wiling to go that far

Yeah i was thinking an air intake and bigger down pipe. I was also thinking about trying the 60hp economy tunne from dp tuner. I don't have a lot of cash right now. lol ok i'll ask in a couple weeks.

I have a large intake a BullyDog chip and Cat delete and with a Crew cab Dually I get 19 mpg at 60 to 65 mph. That is my best on a trip ,my combined mileage is about 17.

dang! 19 from a dually! thanks pretty darn good.... i got a 97 crew cab 4x4 with an intake, 3inch down, into 4 inch exhaust, doing 75-80 i got 18mpg, that was from new mexico to california... ill be getting a 6pos chip in a week or two and im hoping ill see 20mpg... i know if i slow it down to 65 i could get that....but who drives slow?

i get 19.5 max unloaded (about 65 mph). i have 2 wheel drive which i beleive helps. i would be interested to see what a chip and 3.73 gears would get me.

With an intake, chip, and exhaust I get 20 mpg hwy and 14 city. I have the 60 economy tune from Jody also.

I have a 95 F350 CC 4x4 with 315/75-16 ATs, straight pipe, DIY intake but stock downpipe and I only get 15.5 mpg combined no load and only 12 mpg pulling a trailer (75 to 80 mph highway - I absolutely cannot drive 65 mph). Would a 3" downpipe and chip or edge programmer make much difference for the money?

Yes i'm pretty sure those would help. I would go wit hand edge though. I hear those aren't too good with the 7.3's. Go with DP-tuner man.
