Ford programer

I bought a 1996 ford f250 7.3 powerstroke.Under the dash is a ford programer.It shows the rpm when running.Ive played with it a little and figured out how to change when it shift from like 1750 rpm to 2500 rpm.I dont have a manual for this programer so i dont mess with it.Does anyone know were i can get a manual.Or any advice on how to use this thing.I would like to increase the hp to get better mileage if i could,but dont know if you can do that with this programer.On the programer you have 3 buttons on the top.rpm control,charger protect,power.When you turn key on On the screen on the right it says cruise,clutch,brake,charger.Any help with this would be appreciated.Thanks.cletgdm

Thanks for your help.I looked it up on the internet and seen what does.I found these on ebay.Does anyone know anything about these.I want to increase my hp.Will this do that.Thanks.

NO!!!! NO!!!! NO!!!!! thats a waste of money lol. get a TS 6 position chip. dont get a programmer or an ebay chip. www.totaldieselperformance.com sells them so does Power Hungry Performance - Feed your hunger for POWER!. there are lots out there for good chips and tunes
