I gotta get a new trans?!?!

my extension housing broke i took all 17 bolts out mount off and everything is free....i got to pull it and i can feel it hanging up inside.

i jumped on the computer and saw someone said they have to pull the trans and take it completly apart from front to back.

so now i just bought this $350 housing and now i gotta take my trans out and have it shipped out to be gone through and put back together???? this sucks!

is there no way of taking the back part of the housing off?
