decrease refrigerant flow and drive up your head pressure as well. its almost like a slight clog in the system. it would reduce the temperature of the refrigerant at its flash point, but then evaporator would be lacking refrigerant, so it really wouldn't cool the air more... as the refrigerant boils off, thats what removing the heat. the smaller orifice would let a lower amount of refrigerant flow with the same coil size. not as much flow, not as much "capacity" imo.
