testing Injectors?

How do you test the fuel injectors to see if you have one not working?

from what i know, the easiest way is to do a scan to check for codes, i beleive that if one is bad it will show, and location of bad one.
there are also companys that can do a more precise measurment, once out of the truck

I thought so, being that they are under the valve cover. My motor starts rough (RA RA RA RA RA) then (RARARARA) purrs like a kitten but kind of misses slightly, Its a 95' Is that normal its been doing this since I bought it,every time I start it.

sounds like the injectors need to be re o-ringed.....common on the older ones. there is an updated o ring style also.........Marc

as far as i know they are a dealer only item.....but they may be available aftermarket. the kit will comsist of three round o rings, one flat o ring, a steel ring, and a copper crush washer for each injecotor. you will need 8 kits. there is also a possibility that you may have an injector missing cold which means putting o rings on them should help your starting issue but you may still have the cold miss.......

this all said, diagnosing injector o rings is kind of an experienced hunch thing. you should make sure to thouroghly test your glow plug system before deciding to pull the injectors, and make sure to follow a good instruction manual if you are going to pull injectors as one little step out of order can mean hydrolocking a motor..........Marc

Mine lasted 335,000 miles. Thought it was time to have rebuilt.
