it may. unplug the sensor and try to start it. if it fires up its a bad sensor. they are supposed to default to a safe injection pressure when they are unplugged.

Yep, if its bad and plugged in it will only start if you stand on the throttle, and it will die very easily. How do i know? I limped my truck home 10 through the ghetto when mine went out, and i didn't think about unplugging it. When i unplugged mine i had to give it a little throttle for it to start, but i believe that was partially caused by a bad IDM.

Ok thanks for the info but the truck isn't getting any oil pressure either the oil pressure gauge use to go up to the middle when cranking then it would start it only took the gauge a sec to spring up but now when cranking it won't move at all and no start does anybody think its the hpop? Cause thats what I think and I would like to know because I called movers out at crestline and they have 2 complete engines without any parts missing and I would like to buy them or atleast get some parts off it like the hpop wire harnesses icp sensor and all that good stuff
