drivetrain compatibility queston 87-97 the same?

Hi All

I'm just wondering what all is the same on the 87-97 drivetrain? The front axle in my 95 f250 looks identical to the front axle in my old 87 f250 i had years ago.

I'm wondering if the brakes (calipers/disks) are the same from 87-97
Axles, transfer case ect.

I know for sure the auto trannies changed to all electronical when the psd came out in 1994. I believe the rear axles are different as the psd have speed sensors in the rears.

The online parts stores change the prices quite a bit over the years you select.(even 1994-1997) like a front disc is $43 for a 1994 tet $100 for a 1997? i was like wtf.

Lastly i'm not sure where to post this thread so i put it here.

Thanks all.

Some parts will interchange, but usuall when they do, the parts stores will let you know. They dont want to carry too many of the same parts in stock. When I have a question on parts interchange, I go to partsamerica.com and select the vehicle I am curious about. After selecting the part there will usually be a link under it that will let you know what other vehicles it will fit.
