Keyless entry on 96

I just bought the truck four weeks ago and the drivers side key takes sometimes a minute to turn the tumbler in the lock, I was thinking since it has power locks why not just hide a momentary switch somewhere that would activate the door locks?

Also I noticed somebody on ebay who has a store front (keylees4u) sells used key fobs> I asked him if this truck a 1996 F350 7.3l dually with electric locks was a candidate for a key fob. He sent a link to this site........programyourremote.com

Look, the **** thing doesn't cost much maybe I should just go ahead and give it a shot, just wanted some of you more experienced guys two cents.

Is the truck equipped with keyless entry?

Sorry I wasn't clearer. that is the jist of my question. How do you find out if it ever had keyless entry?

The panel that is under the steering column take that off and right behind where that little pocket on the right side of that panel would be there should be Keyless entry module that has a warning sticker on it. If you don't have it start searching the salvage yards for the module and wiring, then you can buy the key fobs and get them programed for the truck!!!!!

Don't quote me on this but if you have the blinking "theft" light on the dash left of the steering column it is equiped with the factory alrm and keyless entry (at least that's how I found mine)

I bought it with 67000 miles four weeks ago. Already have...
1. AFE Stage 2 installed
2. Edge Evolution uploaded Race
3. Three teered a pillar gauge pod in transit along with autometer turbo pyro and trans temp guages

This truck is addictive!
