Transmission Control Module cost to replace?

Hello everybody after driving my truck today at work it started shifting all crazy and throwing some codes.

Took it by a tranny shop and they said the Transmission Control module went out and needs to be replaced.

For diagnosis, The transmission control module part, labor to replace it and comes with a 1 year warranty came to about $500.00 is this a good price or too much?

Thanks.

I believe they are the 2nd gen. I will look for that thread thanks.....

I called the ford dealership to try to see if they had the part and the guy on the phone couldn't find a TCM ( Transmission Control Module) part in his system I wonder if ford calls it somthing else.
