Exhaust Back pressure Valve need advice

Replacing the turbo on my 1995 7.3. Stock replacement nothing special. My question should I spend an extra 175.00 to replace this valve in the pedestal base? Do they go bad often or cause any oil leaks.

Thanks in Advance

I wouldn't do it. Not worth the money and my truck warms up just fine without it...granted my truck only sees high 20s at the lowest...
