Oil change interval

Ok. I am sure this will start a wild fire. But, how often do you change your oil? Owners manual says 5,000 miles is ok for light duty use. Anyone go that far non-synthetic?

How many of you have switched to synthetic and what flavor do you run and how far?

I always change my oil at 3k miles. Done that on all the vehicles I've ever owned. Turbo diesels like to kill oil!

Also, I run 15w40 Mobil 1 fully synthetic, simply because I get it for free. Seems to be good oil!

I go 5000 on Rotella 15/40.
If you cold start a lot it shears the oil more in the HPOP and needs changing sooner.

Every 3k regardless of oil. Dino or synthetic. You can go longer but I don't.

i change it 3-5k or yearly, i also have a bypass oil filter to keep it clean at all times

Every 4000mi Rotella 15w-40

ive been going every 10k on 15w/40 rotella.all of my driving is highway though here in florida.i drive about 170miles per day, it comes out to around 3k a month.i just change oil every 3 months.it hurts the wallet but its better then once a month.havent had no problems yet.
