gas zf5?

My friend has a '95 ford with a 460 and a zf5 transmission and was wondering if his zf5 will bolt up to a '95 7.3 powerstroke?

yes the 460 is the same as 7.3 diesel, i had to put on into my truck, but a 5 spd zf out of a 302 or 351 are both different

as long as its a 460 87-97 it the same, and the zf-5's are a one piece transmission you cant change the bell housings...... i found all this out seeing as last month i had to replace my tranny and t-case, when i started looking a tranny was around 1500 bucks for one with a ton of miles on it, and 2000 to rebuild my own( that was a deal too, just parts no labour, my cousin owns a transmission shop) luckily i found a comlplete truck for under a thousand.... with a dana 60 that soon will be taking the place of my stock twin i beam setup.....
