low pinion from dana 60 from 85 f350

as title says a guy from work has a dana sixty from an 85 f350. He does not want to use it on his mud truck because it is low pinion. does that matter? What will i need to modify or will it bolt up? he wants 500 bucks

Its not a Dana 60 from a 85 ford then. All ford 60's after 78 were high pinion. It should bolt right in coming from a 85. Dodge and chevy are low pinion but passenger side drop. But dodge went to driverside drop low pinion in 94 when they changed the body style.
