The fuel goes out of the regulator as fast as it goins into it so it doesnt make any pressure and the truck wont start. It makes pressure now but takes forever to build up enough to start up. I have a use one on the way in mail as we speak so hopefully it will fix this problem.

It is probably you mechanical fuel pump failing or a crack in one of your rubber fuel lines.

I was in the process of changing the pump and found out it pumps just fine. I put all new rubber lines in. I left the return line off and tried to start the truck up but fuel would just poor out of it. I took some vise grips and squezzed the rubber return hose and the fuel pressure gauge then showed pressure and then it started up.

Mine was cracked around the schrader valve. Jb welded it but never put it on just got one from a junkyard. Heard of jb working and heard of it not. There's about 70psi of pressure there so it's a gamble on a repaired one IMO. After I put the good one on it busted a return fuel hose on the driver side. Just an old hose prolly. But now all is well. Be sure and clean that little filter while ur at it and might as well shim the fpr and install a fuel pressure gauge. Mine seems to run alot better now having it all cleaned though. Keep in mind that that fpr housing was the same for 94.5-95 and changed up in 96 though.
