Idle and HPOP Q's

I am thinking about replacing the HPOP on my truck with the Stealth pump. Anyone know anything about these and is there a cheaper way of getting the a similar benifit from an aftermarket pump?

Also, my trucks idle fluctuates at times, its a steady fluctuation, but none the less, something for me to wonder about. It usually will not do it on my stock chip setting, but after running on econo or tow for awhile, I get the fluctuation, probably only 100 RPM if even that.

Any help on both of these would be awesome!!

you could look into dieselsite about they're adrinaline pump its 1/3 the price and will do nicely for what you have.

go unplug the compressor and alternator and tell me how in idles

why do you want a bigger HPOP?

Thanks, I'll give that a try next time I'm out drivin. I know its not the compressor because it actually smoothes out if I turn on the A/C or Defroster while its fluctuating.

As far as the bigger HPOP goes, everyone says that they make a huge difference with Stage 1 or bigger injectors, which I have Stage 1s in it, and also have an aftermarket fuel system to supply enough fuel, so why not?

oh yeah i see stage 1's on your sig haha. have you thought about 17* HPOP? or you just wanna go all out. stage 1 HPOP would help the truck out a lot.

I don't know anything about the 17* HPOP other than I believe it is what the Super Duties are equipped with, correct? Tell me about them if you can!! I want to learn more!! =) Thanks

i thought the adrenaline pump was a 17*?

you are correct in the SD has a 17* pump. iirc its high pressure and higher flow. it can feed the injectors more quickly. youll need on for stage II + and it helps iwth stage 1's

the 17* pump works good with my 2's. Very simple to install. Also they are very easy to come by.

I am about to do a modded 17*..... It is nearly as good as a used adrenaline pump!

Its out of a SD and i sent it to Terminator Engineering to get modded.

Without shipping i am into the pump about $230. Where as the adrenaline is $600 and a stealth is like 1800 or some un godly number! You dont need a stealth unless you have big plans in the future! A modded 17* will do you just fine, even a regular 17* would do fine with your current setup
