Sky shackle kit install question
7. Install new front hanger , lining up the 5/8” bolts in hanger with factory bolt holes install spacer into frame opening and insert 5/8” bolt through holes in frame, new bracket, and spacer. Tighten bolt snug at this time . You will torque all hardware at the end of installation
8.Measure 52” from center of rear spring bolt to center of new front spring bolt hole. 9.Center punch and drill ½” holes in new front cross member locations as marked by ½” holes in shackle reversal. Install ½” bolts ,nuts , flat washers . Be sure to use red loctite and torque to nominal specifications. Now is the time to replace the spring bushings if you plan to do so I dont understand where it means to drill for steps 8 and 9. rest is easy. any helps greatly appreciated. pics would be fantastic. |

Measure 52" from the factory rear spring mount(under the cab) to the hole in the RSK. This is what sets the RSK forward and aft on the frame.
Then drill the frame using the holes in the RSK brackets to locate them. There clear as mud right? |

there are no holes in the frame that line up to the holes in the new bracket so you have to drill them yourself. take your time, measure twice drill once and nice and straight.
