WTT 96 REAR aXLE w 3.55 for superduty 4.10 Wiill it work?

HI

One big Q. I have a 96 PSD single rear axle with a 3.55. I want to move to a 4.10 posi and I found one out of a superduty. Would you just swap 3rd members or would you do the whole swap if both axles were in similar condition and wear? I think Id like the 4wheel discs but I really dont want to change to the newer superduty bolt pattern.

I take it the OBS and superduty axles are interchangeable(width,mounts, etc).

Any experienced ideas I'd appreciate greatly.

Not sure on widths, etc. but the OBS and SD have different wheel bolt patterns (as you've mentioned.) The OBS has a 10.25" ring gear, and the SD has a 10.5" ring gear. The center sections are interchangable, and the ABS rings are the same. So you could take SD posi, but the gears wouldn't fit.
