1999 F150 Performance Chips??

I'm thinking about buying these performance chips for my truck. How do these chips work? Am I going to see a big difference in HP change? Also what's the difference between this and the ebay ones?

Ebay ones are 99% of the time a rip off. they are scams and dont do anything. I know for a good tuner for a 4.6 or 5.4, it might add up to 40 hp, but normally they dont do much.
