glow plug test question
I have a 97 F250 and want to test my glow plugs with a volt meter. When I've searched the site for this procedure the only instructions I find show a single electrical plug going into each valve cover at the gasket... But my truck has two plugs going into each valve cover, each with 5 pins. So my question is: Which pins are the glow plug pins and which pins are the injector pins AND what are the extra 2 pins? I expected 4 glow plug pins and 4 inj pins only. Thanks for any help with this.

On each plug, the two OUTTER pins are the glow plugs. so if your looking at the plug ( 12345 ) numbers 1 and 5 are the glow plugs.
I too had that problem, its quite annoying. Not sure on the injectors though |

"Second from outer" pins are for the corresponding injectors. Center pin of each connector is a ground.
