Sound system
I am looking at updating the sound system in my truck. I currently only have the two rear speakers working (without any bass)
and I am ready to make it sound normal. Has anyone had trouble replacing the speakers? Also the speakers in the doors don't work. I am assuming the the '94 trucks unscrew fairly easy? Also thought about Dynamat if I have to remove any liners. Is this a weekend job or is it going to take longer? ![]() Thanks for the help. |

I put two amps, 4 polk DB speakers (2 6.5's, 2 5x7's) a new headunit, and two JL 8" subs, plus all new amp to door speaker wiring, some deadener, and all the rca's, power wires, etc in in about a day. didn't work too hard either......but i've done many many many stereo's in my day...........so to do just some new speakers won't be terribly long at all......

The place i bought my stereo from installed it for free since i bought from them.....you might want to check with whoever your buying from to see if they have some kind of deal like that. it only took them about ten min. They actually finished before i was done paying. Your best bet would be with smaller audio shops not some big place like Best Buy. I know when i was shopping for a stereo Best Buy tried to charge me $200 for install!
