help needed

OK lets start of with the truck i have. Its a 95 psd with 270000 miles. I just got the truck so here we go. The motor was replaced last year with a 96 model with
62000 on it, well that what i was told the tag on the engine say 96 so. Heres my problems the glow plug don't work, it idles very rough which lets up alittle if i push in the cluchte, or fev it up to above 900 it only idles about 600 rpm. there are no codes there was when i first got it but replaced cps and ok now no smoke either. Here is the deal truck is in great condition and i got it for free so any help would do. I replace the gpr also but i am not really worried about the unless the truck will run good if not i am willing to replace engine seeing i got such a deal on truck. It also does not have much power down hiway or acelerating i can run 70 but lucky if i can pull 50 on even a small hill

First off (if you have done this already than ignore it) change the air filter, oil and oil filter, and if you need new glow plugs get them, it'll be easier on the truck. Change your fuel filter, check the little screen that is on the drivers side of the fuel bowl about 1/2 to 1 inch down in a small hole that you will see. Check and make sure that the exhaust back pressure vavle is working properly and that it is not stuck shut or partially. Good luck with the truck and hope it helps. Also might want to check your IPR, clean/replace it. Clean it rather than throwing new parts at it though. JMO

Not to sound stupid here but what is ipr?
