Fuel bowl issues

Hello everyone. I have a 1995 7.3 powerstroke and I took my fuel bowl out and apart to rebuild it. Cause research said it could cause a no start if there are faulty parts in it. And I'm looking at it and the element inside is definitely different then all the ones I've seen. Like where's the connection wire. Etc. Please help me out. Thanks!

Truck has 265xxx on it I bought it off a guy that let it set for a year. He said the injectors were bad but that's to odd in my opinion for all 8 to be bad so I did my research and the heater element is a cause of no start and mine doesn't even have a wire or a soldered connection on it. So I'm Gona clean it and the gas sending unit in the side of the bowl up and replace parts on it

You don't need the fuel heater. That is the plate part of the heater and the "element" (bare wire portion) is long gone. Cheers!

Why would they have replacement parts if you didn't need it?

It's pointless to have the heater element. Fuel is much different now from 1995.

I had sand in my fuel bowl when I first got my truck.

Any more specifics on the not start issue?
