Blue CPS

I think i am going to replace my CPS in my 1996 7.3l. I am thinking about going with the IH blue cps. Is the blue on better?advantages\disadvantages? and does anyone have the part number for it? Thanks

I don't know since I'm new here too, but I've seen it posted that the IH CPS retards the timing. I bought a spare from carquest for $110, about double the ebay price just to be sure it would work in the 96.

The blue will retard the timing a tad so you might lose a couple hp's outta the deal. Personally I would do more shopping but like john said make sure you get the one for you year, they atarted changing the material they made the contacts out of and if you get the wrong year it will cause a dielectric and corrode the terminals
