the local muffler shop to remove the cat and muffler and weld in the delete sections. Whats that price sound like?

Considering your asking them to do something thats illegal, I'd say its pretty fair.

way to much, mine was 40 for the muffler and and 20 for the cat. 170 is crazy, for another hundred you could get a full system from farmboys diesel.

Get a full exhaust system. Dont waste your money.

get a full MBRP exhaust system...... You could cut out the cat and muffler but it still doesnt solve the main issue with the stock exhaust, the flat down pipe thats a huge restriction on the turbo spool up.
Once I did the full exhaust, i felt a real seat in the pants difference off the line. |

Yeah, thats way to much. I would just pay a little extra for a new system or go somewhere else.
