switch to auto?

I love having a 5 speed for work but I travel for work and the truck is rarely worked, just a toy. Mods are in sig. my question is: if I swapped to an E40D and just upgraded the TC would it hold up or would I be wasting my time and money? Its not worth having to put 6g into a full ATS trans.

If you do just a TC and say a VB or shift kit its just gonna be harder on the other stock parts. You would want to do a rebuild kit with upgraded internals as well

Just an option but I might be interetsed in a trade as I have thought about going to manual myself.

how much would an internal upgrade run me? I have to think about it a little more coaltrian but I will definitly keep you in mind

dont waste your time, buy an automatic truck. your gonna have to get the auto computer, steering rack with the auto shifter on it, probably have to lengthen/shorten the driveshaft(s if you have 4x4) you'd be much better off just finding a truck with auto, but you already have the more reliable tranny.
