4X4 Conversion

Anyone on here ever convert a 2WD to 4X4?

As long as the donor truck is 94-98, should'nt be any major problems, huh?

I've got this ambulance I'm gonna build a fiber optic splicing rig out of & most of my work is where backhoe's & cable plows have been and generally (for some reason beknownst only to the weather gods) muddy. I need 4X4 under this truck . . .

I've done it on a 1993 with parts from an 89' it was pretty easy but I think the newer frames had impact absorbing frame horns but other than that everything should be the same the 4x4 lever hole is even there.
