Turning it into a 4x4
I been thinking about making the old fummins a four wheel drive but just wanted you guys's opinions on it, and what all really needs to be done.. axle, t-case..??

Axle, both driveshafts, transmission, tcase, hole cut in floor pan for 4x4 shifter. And a few other things

Depends...
You can find a 4x4 tranny and transfer case, or you can find a divorced mount transfer case, in which you run a short driveshaft from the tranny to the transfer case, then run driveshafts to the axles. Front axle, driveshafts, 4x4 lever, front suspension, and probably a lot more stuff I cant think of. |

Yeah im hoping i can find a cheap 4wheel drive some where to rob some parts off

just find a truck that has 4x4 on the side... THEN BUY IT!!!

Ive been thinking about that as well, i have a beautiful 96 f250 2wd with only 135K and lots of mods, but im just worried if the frame has all the holes for the shackles and i dont know about the cross member( but id be willing to "adjust" that if that was the only thing in my way)
