TS 6 Postion Chip

Finally got my chip installed on my truck today and i am very very pleased, like i got a whole new truck, best 100 bucks i ever spent. I knew there would be a difference, but i was still very suprised. I dont think ill use the stock setting very much.
Just a few questions for people who have the TS in their own truck

What setting do you keep yours on?
What kinda EGT numbers to you get on that setting?

well i keep mine on the 50 cause the most you'll get out of stock OBS injectors is 75hp mabe 85hp. I have a hard time getting my egt's to 1100 but im running an aftercooler and 4" straight pipe and an AFE stage 2 intake. but yeah the 50hp setting on the chip puts my superchip 50hp tuning to shame.

I leave mine on the 100 hp setting. I had my chip custom programed and i dont have a stock setting. It goes 50, 75, 100, ???, ???, ???. Just driving around town my egts stay around 300 deg. The highest ive ever gotten was 900 deg. And im getting 17mpg on a regular basies

I have heard that you actually get better mileage out of the higher settings, as long as your not hotfooting it all the time, have you found that with the TS, I have the DP and that seems to be the case.

did you buy it used for that price? best deal on new i found is here eBay Motors: TS PERFORMANCE CHIP 94-03 FORD POWERSTROKE 7.3 DIESEL (item 120092269398 end time Mar-06-07 20:42:10 PST)

$384 and comes with a cold air kit. Can these TS chips be installed yourself? are these plug and go or do you have to have the injector driver,pcm re programmed?

These are pretty easy to do about an hour tops and that includes a Beer break

The TS is an easy install, just plugs into the back of the brainbox. Cleaning the connector in there is kind of a pain in the arse but once you get it its all worth it. I usually leave mine in the 75 horse position. I get pretty good mileage that way. Occasionally I crank it up all the way for the smoke, but as was stated earlier you won't get much more than 70 horse or so out of stock injectors.

Yeah, i got mine on ebay, it was going for 25$ with a $100 Buy It Now, plus i didnt have to get it reprogramed or anything, was made for a 1996 5Spd. I figured for a hundred bucks that aint that bad of a deal, especially looking at what new ones cost
