my 95 wants to spit it out of gear when i put in 3rd and get on it. if i hold it in and slowly accerate it stays. tranny also rattles when im at idle. all the other gears are fine. also what kinda of mpgs are you guys getting? i got 180 just on one tank (15 gal) that was with my tune turned up. will i get better running it on stock for long hauls?

My guess would be a failing synchro. I average 17-19 depending on conditions (3.55 gears) but have gotten 21 on a couple of occasions. I do have a slight leak in the valley somewhere but can't tie it up until I get the clutch put in my TDi. Maybe then I'll be able to crowd 21 again.

I also get 18-21 but I would turn it down when going on long hauls
