I think it will work. Not 100% sure. I want to put one on my truck this fall.

Your 97 has a different top cover then mine but it fit in mine and my dads 99

I took my cover off so I should have plenty of room. thanks for the pic

should work out sweet. found one for $37 at onlinecomponents.com Someone else turned me on to the link. Cheapest price I found so far

iirc they handle the 200 amp draw far more reliably. im doing that this fall as well.
