Fuel Addative
hey guys just joined and have a question. i was wondering what addative you are putting in your fuel to help lube the fuel system on these older trucks? i have heard about 2 cycle mix, marvel mystery oil, and power service but dont which one is best. any ideas are appreciated.

First off, welcome to the ORG.
My advice, would be to get a little bit of each additive that you're looking at. (small container) Add one to one tank, and add a different one to the other tank, and see if you get a difference between the two. You could do/ try this as many times as you like, until you find an additive that you and your truck like and are happy with. (obviously consider price of additive, and amount of additive to be added) Best of luck. mike |

i ran about a quart of tranny fluid thru my truck last week, split between the two tanks. ive heard of alot of guys doin it

i dont know about the tranny fluid. never tried that.. but 2 stroke oil really helps on the 6.0 a lot of guys run it. just make sure it is ashless

if i recal right there wa an article in diesel power about runnin tranny fluid too. that made me decide to give it a try. except that guy ran 100% used tranny fluid
