How long do starters last?

Just wondering, how often do you guys have to replace your starters? I have a 97 and it's been about 25k miles and I'm already putting another starter in it. At least it's a really quick job!

If you bought it from Advance that's not bad. I expect NAPA or Ford starters to be good for 100k at least.

Wow that's a lot of miles on those starters. I went to advance and it turns out mine was under warranty still.
