Best repair manual

I have a 97 f250 and am wanting to do some frontend work on it-ball joints and tie rods and am looking for some instructions on how to do it. I know you will say try a search. But i did and I couldn't find what i am looking for. So if i could just ask a simple question. What is the best repair manual to buy and where to get it. Thanks for all the help that I have already found here.

i dont know about a manual, but one thing i have noticed at the org, you dont get flamed with 'try a search' here like you do at other forums!

alldatadiy.com is the best for us. its near the quality of a ford manual.

i have both of the obs for the chilton and i think it touches the diesels

I've got both the Haynes and the Chiltons, and neither one cover the diesel, so as long as you're not messin around under the hood, you should be ok. I got the Haynes at Auto Zone, and the Chiltons through Car Quest. If you're looking for an engine manual, that's a totally different story.
