Best repair manual

I have a 97 f250 and am wanting to do some frontend work on it-ball joints and tie rods and am looking for some instructions on how to do it. I know you will say try a search. But i did and I couldn't find what i am looking for. So if i could just ask a simple question. What is the best repair manual to buy and where to get it. Thanks for all the help that I have already found here.

if you want chilton, this would work

http://www.delmarlearning.com/browse...=AU&cat2ID=CHM

if you want haynes, this would work

1997 Ford F-250 Repair Manual from Haynes. Ford Pick-ups, Expedition and Lincoln Navigator Haynes Repair Manual covering 2WD and 4WD gasoline models for F-150 (1997 thru 2003), F-250 (1997 thru 1999), Expedition (1997 thru 2003), and Lincoln Navigato

i have both of the obs for the chilton and i think it touches the diesels

I've got both the Haynes and the Chiltons, and neither one cover the diesel, so as long as you're not messin around under the hood, you should be ok. I got the Haynes at Auto Zone, and the Chiltons through Car Quest. If you're looking for an engine manual, that's a totally different story.

Here's a link to a thread I started specifically asking about engine manuals. Scroll down through it, there are some pretty good entries.

Engine manual

Hope this helps.
