Shot e40d

Does anyone know where to find a reasonably priced rebuild kit for an e4od trans for my 97 stroker?
I would also consider a reman if it is comparatively priced.
I am looking for some perfomance gains with this addition.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

In Boise there is a large transmission distributer called Idaho Transmission Warehouse, they have everything you could want or need and their prices are very low, i think they have a place in eastern Idaho as well, i used to have a sho p in Boise and they are the wholesalers of choice in this area, they also will sell retail and can really help you with e4od questions..i now have a shop on the east coast and i order from dacco or axiom but i still get parts from boise, they are very knowledgeable and helpful and will take the time to answer questions

i just bought a ford reman for just over $2k then added a performance valve body, so far it seems to be working very well. Truck is stock other than intake, exhaust and ebpv delete.

eBay Motors: F150 F250 F350 Ford E4OD Transmission 4WD 4x4 (item 160092446749 end time Mar-15-07 10:05:40 PDT)

Price is right if you get a tranny for a 4x4 diesel and a tq convertor for a powerstroke.

The monster in a box kit is probably what i would go for. I doubt there is a tq convertor included.

I would stay away from ebay transmissions. If you get one from ford you have a 3 yr/ 72k mile warrenty that is good at any ford dealer in the nation. The warrenty is the main reason i went with a ford trans.

I went with AAMCO to rebuild mine. It ran me 4 grand but all of my hard parts were shot as well as the PCM on the side of the tranny. That is with a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty nationwide. Good luck, and sorry to hear about your misfortune.
