New paint. Help
awhile back I bought a new box for my truck.
I finally got around to paint it (July). I sprayed it with an enamel based paint. My truck is 2 tone. Silver center, white every else. Being a enamel paint there is no need for clear as long as you spray it on thick with out getting drips and makes a great shine to it. Now When I was removing the tape that was used to mask off silver when i sprayed the white. The tape was ither leaving glue on the box OR removing the shine from the fresh paint (I left the paint to cure 1 day before I masked for the next colour).... there are pirfect tape lines on the box from where the tape was. How do I remove this? Wax it out? I havent yet put it on the truck, but its sitting waiting for installation for about 3 weeks. The paint should be fully cured |

I'd say wax should take the glue from the tape off, it's what we used when I worked at a fiberglass shop. As far as the dulling, once the paint is fully cure, try some fine rubbing compound if the wax doesn't bring it up.
