Intercooler ?????

I have found a set of IC pipes made to fit a 94.5 - 97 OBS trucks. It says that they fit the Intercoolers with the plastic ends. The intercooler i have has the metal ends. What is the difference and why would these only work on plastic ends?

I dont know the difference. I assumed that they would be the same. I have plastic ends if you wanna trade me pipes, I will give you my pipes that will fit the IC's with metal ends.

i bought a set of those pipes...and the difference between the metal/plastic ends is where the outlet/inlets are. they look the same and i understand what your asking because i did myself. but what i was told is the metal ones are a lil offset and they do not match up to where the plastic ones are. so thats why there are two sets of pipes.

I have a metal end tank intercooler when i put it in they looked pretty centered to me. I would think that your pinping would still work. all you might have to do is get some good boots i think from dieselproducts.com, not sure ill get the right site, but they have different size boots on there that i think might work for that set up.

I think the only difference is the wall thickness of the tubes. I have the metal pipes and I had to get stepped boots to work with the Banks pipe kit.
