Hood latch cable broken..

Hey guys today after work i went to check my oil before i headed home, so when i went to pull the latch inside the cab it had broken off in my hand. It looks like the cable broke right at the end of latch. my question is how do i get the hood open to fix this broken cable

?

cut the sleeve off and pull the cable with pliers

I'd say take the cowl side trim panel off, strip a little of the casing off the hood release cable, then use vise grips on the cable to open it

alright thanks guys it just sucks when it broke i was like you gotta be kidding me right now
