Turbo q's

i was changing my oil yesterday when i decided to take off my intake tube to look at my turbo since i have never actually looked at mine and this is what i found


should i be concerned about this? it looks like there are some nice size chucks missing from those fins

Ouch, that's not pretty. Definitely a problem.

there was a little bit of play in the shaft, but not much

and its never made any noise like its hitting the housing

Put a new wheel on it, you can get a superduty wheel for about $30 on eBay, or form a member on here who has switched to a ww

the superduty wheel flows more air anyway

but depending on how many miles are on the truck, a rebuild kit wouldn't be a bad idea

Typical cummins owner.

dont our trucks come stock with a WW? and arent the super duty ones worst?

1997 f250 HD ex cab sb with southbend 450hp singlemass clutch, 6" lift with 35"s, 3 1/2"down pipe with straight pipe, afe stage 2 intake, tw chip, ccv mod, 17* hpop, 120v idm,vegistroke system V3. (AKA electric fuel for diesel and veg side)
UPCOMMING MODS:diy fuel bowl delete,fass pump for diesel side, stage 2's, d66 turbo or modded h2e

no parking cone at stanford university
