Just worried
Tell me if this sounds bad or am I just worried? My truck is a 95 PSD F250 x-cab long bed 4x4 with 4:10 gears and 260000 miles. All stock with DYI intake new injectors and gauges.
I was pulling my camper over the weekend. It is a 25' bumper pull that is about 7000 lbs. I was on I70 in OD mostly flat ground running about 63 mph. The rpm's were about 1900...tranny temp was 195...Pyro never got over 1100 and the temp never left "M".....The boost was between 3-5.... It seemed that The low end power....taking off from a stop...was terrible. Have you guys noticed it takes forever to get going....??? |

Mine acts much the same. While pulling it takes some time to get up-to-speed, but once there it's as happy as can be! Aftermarket can help that.

You just need a TW chip!
Your sig doesn't show a exhaust system... |

sounds about normal to me

I was worried that putting a chip in a truck with that many miles on it might hurt something? |

its all in how you drive it

a truck with that mileage will do fine with a chip if all is well. I would mostly be concerned with getting rid of the stock downpipe and exhaust. These engines like to breath.

I'd try a 1.0 housing or a .84
I know how much lag your stock 1.15 has, and on the interstate the needle sits on the peg. If you switch out to the smaller housing, you could have more boost earlier, and it might would help you get going quicker. I was told my EGT's would be higher, but they arent. My pyro has never been past 1000 |

I have 330,000 mi. on mine and the chip wont heart a thing IF you don't drive like 16 year old on friday night (at least not all the time
).
