can it be done

so i dont have a lot of money do to issues and i want to get a 350 dually. tryign to find good one that wont have a bunch of problems is 4k and i only have 2k so i was looking and i can get a flatbed 350 dually for 1.5k-2.5k... but i want the dually bed and there like $$$

so could i just grab a 250 xlt bed, cut big holes if needed for tires and get replacment dually fender flares? cuz i could find that 250xlt bed in a gunk yard no big deal plus i sell the flat bed and that pay for some or all the bed
