pressure washing engine??

Any problem with this?

I was planning on using superclean, or purplecleaner or simple green or something like that so i can thouroughly clean it and narrow down where my couple of tiny leaks are coming from!

Its okay to pressure wash ur engine. just make sure u dont turn the engine off and risking cracking the block. which is very bad lol. as long as u keep the engine running it maintains the temp and will do no harm to the engine at all. i do it all the time..at least 3-4 times a month down at the local car wash, i usualy degrease, rinse, rinse.

I wash every truck engine before a PM everyday at work. Washed my own PSD eng too... seen somewhere to avoid washing while the eng is at or near operating temp (something to do with the fuel pump I think). Other than that, avoid the alternator and you'll be fine.

oh good call! i have the same intake you do! If you leave it running this probably isnt a good idea cuz it will just suck in the water...

Anyone who said to keep it running in order to not crack the block... can you just do the pressure wash when the truck is completely cold if im using cold water? That way i can put a bag over the air filter and seal that off
