Oil Cooler O Rings

I'm trying to confirm which O ring goes where, in relation to the oil cooler tube. Do the black O rings go on the outside of the oil cooler and the green O rings on the inside of the cooler? Thanks, also the members here have provided me with a wealth of infomation, bringing a 97 back to life.

its the old rings. the thick is on back and the skinny one is on the end.

i for some reason i didnt take pics of the new ones. sorry.
