Light Removal

So I finally remember to look for a marker light in the junkyard for my busted passenger side one. After an act of God later (my wife actually had me walk away before I caused mass damage) I got the stupid sucker out without breaking it. How in the world do you get that stupid marker light out the correct way? I've heard that you have to take the front end apart to get to the bolts, but from what I can see it's a Catch 22 situation. No access holes on the inside for the bolts, just the light bulbs. Anyone have any ideas? I was going to pick up a grey/black grill and trim rings for my truck to replace the broken chrome ones. I just couldn't figure out how to remove them. Any ideas guys (and girls I'm sure)?

There are two nuts on the back side of your subframe at the bottom of the light.
