Headlamp Removal

i feel pretty silly asking this question, of all the stuff i've had to do to my truck i figured this would be simple, but like everything it is not.

headlamp assembly is cracked. (headlight casing on passenger's side)
it filled up with water and bulb blew

want to take it off to replace with junk yard special, cause the thing is supposedly going to cost me $77 to $120. heck with that, by the way, does that price sound right, it's just the housing?!!

anyhow, i've got the OBS 97 and i took out the 2 screws on top, the chrome frame will not come off. does it have to come off? it's not screwed or bolted or anything that i can tell, surely it alone can come off without major dissassembly? right or am i just wishing?

Last time I bought one from salvage I got the whole headlight assy. with the chrome trim and all, not real sure how it comes off, might be held in with a couple clips???

yur kiddin? naw i trust ya, i don't have any manuals that show the thing. you'd think they would, cause it's just like the 150 etc, but oh well. no wander it might cost so much.

bein that i spent about $350 on the truck last week i'll be livin with the 2 drill holes to drain the water and the superglue sealer, i.e. well see how it works, but thanks for the reply.

Its a pain in the @zz. The marker light (orange one) is held into the frame by two nuts...11MM i think if not then 10MM. They are down in there aways and there are two small access holes that you have to reach into with a deep socket to pull the whole (silver trim, marker lights and corner lights) off. As for the head light im not sure...i just bought clear headlights marker lights and corner lights and i want to put them on. The only reason i haven't put them all on is because i just did the marker lights and now im scared to take it all apart again. Keep a magnet handy as you may need it to pick up the nuts that you most likely will drop down in to the abyss of the truck. Let me know how the headlights come off when you get to that point. Cause when i do it im gonna do all the lights at once.

yeah i have the clear signals for months still have not installed them did the lights for my friends truck wait a pain in the shhh!!!
