New to powerstroke want some lights!
Hello guys and gals!
I have recently acquired myself a 1997 F-250 H.D. 7.3L with 220k on the clock. The truck looks great, however it has no lights! I'm looking to get some cab lights and run strings of LED clearance lights down the sides and maybe wrap around the front bumper. First question, obviously there's quite a list of places online to buy, where is the best these days? Second question, anyone got a good easy solution to the wiring? My overall goal would be to not have to add additional switches and just have all of the lights (cab and lower clearance) come on when the parking lights are selected on the headlight switch. Will I burn up the switch or relay by doing this? I really dislike having switches and things that aren't originally there, I just think it looks awful. I'd love some input and opinions! Thanks guys! Welcome to the Org bud.... you should be able to wire into your running lights.. but run relays to the lights...

I just tapped mine in to the back of the light switch through a relay!

Good info. I was planning on doing a relay block behind the airbox for all my clearance lights and cab lights and then running that into the headlight switch. After it gets warmer out it'll definitely be a high priority. I love my truck tho and this website rocks. THanks guys!

So I have another lighting question. It says in my book factory fogs were available for a 97 PSD, however I have never seen them on these trucks. Now, does the wiring exist in the chassis anywhere for them? I'd imagine the factory switch would be hard to come accross too but it'd be worth it. Where did they mount them on these trucks? Thanks!

they are "basically" factory meaning the only diffrence is these werent made/sold by ford but they r the same location and same size
