been working on this project from about 8 this morning till 1
I had some round HID style driving lights laying in the shop, so i decided to use them. Have been pondering the idea of making fog lights fit inside hte bumper, like on the 99-up superdutys I decided to mount them on the plastic inside the bumper. That plastic is pretty tough and sturdy, so it was fine to use i guess I started off by taking a sheet of aluminum and fabbing up some brackets. I cut them 3in. x 3in. with a pair of holes in the bottom and top halves. One pair for to mount the lights on, and another to mount them inside the bumper. Here's the piece: ![]() after i finished those, i mounted the lights to the plastic inside the bumper...I went back and made the holes in the aluminum bigger, so that i had adjustment to aim the lights. here they are mounted: ![]() They Worked (like my ground wire? ![]() Wires straightened out ![]() Bumper put back on ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You guys like them? |
