Clearance lights.
Does anyone have clearance lights on their roof? I'd like to know what the factory spacing is supposed to be betwen them. I got a set for mine and I think I'd like them to look stock if the spacing matches the picture I have in my head.

Clearance lights
I just went out to the shed and checked mine. I have the old body style 97 superduty. There are factory lights. They are spaced 12 inches on center. Start with the 1st light in the middle and work your pattern out from there.
I measured back from the angle where the top breaks over to the wind shield to the front edge of the lights and it is 2 inches, Depending on your lights your can measure the leading edge of your lifgt to the center where the wire is and add that to the 2 inches to get your set back. Good luck. Gary from Fayetteville WV |

Thanks guys, I think I'm going to go with the spacing that website used for the SD, instead of having them evenly spaced.

The clearance lights always look good on a heavy duty pickup....except for that retarded looking solid center light cluster that chevy's HD's have going...

only dodges have evenly spaced marker lights...not a styling guide i would go by...
i agree...that GM center thing is retarded...you might as well get a big orange lightbar and put it right ober the windshield...my lights are in my visor...1-3-1 spacing...and they're not huge, which i don't like... wes Last edited by wesjones; 01-27-2006 at 02:15 AM. |

i just reread my post . the reason i said i thought it was for super duty's is because i didnt realy look at it that much when i found it and book marked it. thats why i sonded like a dumb a$$. and noticed for the fisrt time that there is a S.D at the bottom.

Wes what dodges are you looking at? I was looking at all the newer HD dodge trucks and they aren't spaced evenly, 1-3-1 but the spacing isn't as obvious as it is on the super duty trucks.
