OBS Headlight Removal
How do i get these dern things out? any write up....WITH PICTURES?

It's a serious PITA to remove the entire headlight assembly, is that what you want to do?

Did you get the two nuts that are on the backside between the battery and the light assembly? The studs are on the back of the housing and I think the nuts are 10mm (maybe 11mm). They are recessed in pockets in the sheetmeatal and you cant see them from above. They're easier to get at with the batteries removed but if you're good at braille you can do it with the batteries in place.

![]() ![]() its not hard if you just take your time take the grill off and your batteries out makes it alot easier there are 10 or 14 bolts to remove its not bad hope the pics helped out |

For some reason, every time I see a Duramax pull, they pull their right headlight. I'm a little confused as to why it's necessary.
