so, ive heard people say that 285/75/r16s fit fine, and some say no.

So, i needa get to the bottom of this, cause a friend of mine has some tires, in good shape, that hes willing to give to me.

there 285s and i dont know much about that 36s 45s 10s all that stuff, so please, only metric here.

How large can i fit before i have to shim and trim my bumper? Is there a diff between a 250 and 350 cause of solid axle?

so,after all that blah blah blah, basically, can i fit 285/75/r16s without a lift, and how much will my speedo be off?

They will fit no problem. Might rub a little when turned all the way.

a 285 won't rub at all around here most guys are running 305's without a leveling kit or 315's with one

The 285's will fit your truck with no problem. An obs can fit 305's without a lift.

A 285 is about 1.3" taller than the stock 265/75R16. It's also about 3/4 of and inch wider. You should be fine
