Double stick trim tape removal

A prior owner of my truck added chrome bed rail protectors and some chrome pieces along the rocker panels all the way along both sides. I want to put a ladder rack on the truck, and can't because I can't get to the stake pockets where the latter rack needs to attach.

The chrome trim is held on with double stick trim tape, and is showing no inclination of letting go. I would like to keep the bed rail protectors intact because I would like to reuse them on another vehicle, but if I have to destroy them to get them off so be it.

What methods do you folks suggest for (a) getting the bed rail protectors and rocker trim off, and (b) removing the tape that is holding them from the paint underneath?

Thanks in advance!

I would use a heat gun and carefully pry them off. For the rocker crome, just get them warm with the heat gun and use a vice grip and pull. They come off hard. Then use a eraser wheel on a drill to get the tape off.
